MCCA Photo Contest
The Minnesota Certified Crop Advisers (MCCA) invites amateur photographer to help tell the story of Minnesota CCAs! Through the MCCA Amateur Photo Contest, MCCA seeks high-resolutions photos taken in Minnesota portraying CCAs and agriculture. Submit photos by Oct. 23 for your chance at a cash prize. Photos can be submitted via email to emma@mcpr-cca.org.
One winner and two runner ups photos from each category will be selected. A grand prize will be chosen among the three category winners. The grand prize winner will be awarded $250. Each category winner will be awarded $75 and the two runners-ups in each category will win $25.”

Criteria
The photos will be judged by the MCCA Board on the following criteria:
- Storytelling
- Relevance
- Uniqueness
- Photographic quality
- Specificity to Minnesota
Submission
Submit your photos via email to emma@mcpr-cca.org. Please include the photographers name and a short description of the photo. There are no limits on the number of submissions each photographer can submit. If submitting multiple photos, sending the files via a file similar service or sending each submission in a separate email may be suggested to ensure the photograph maintains its highest quality.
All entries and their copyrights will become property of MCPR (recognition will be given).
Full Rules
- Eligible entries will be judged by the MCCA board. Judging will be based on the following criteria: Storytelling, relevance, uniqueness, photographic quality and specificity to Minnesota.
- All entries and their copyrights will become the property of MCCA. Photos will not be returned and will be used to build a photo library for use by MCCA. Such photos may be used to illustrate newsletters, magazines, brochures, other publications, and social media. Such photos may also be used in connection with advertising, promotions, and displays, on the internet or for other purposes such as MCCA or MCPR.
- The photo may be color or black/white. We reserve the right to crop your photos if needed. Please send high-quality digital images only.
- No AI photos will be accepted.
- There is no limit on how many photos can be submitted. Only one prize will be awarded to an entrant.
- You are responsible for obtaining permission from any person(s) or their guardian(s) appearing in the photograph.
- Photographs and entry information must be emailed to emma@mcpr-cca.org by October 23, 2026.
- All submissions must be unpublished photographs and solely created by the submitting entrant, that do not infringe on the intellectual property, copyright, or right of privacy of any third party, and have not won in any other competition. Any entry, which in the sole opinion of MCCA is deemed inappropriate for publication, is ineligible.
- MCCA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, or suspend this contest should any causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of such contest.
- MCCA reserves the right to correct any and all printing, typographical, or mechanical errors.
- Winners will be notified by phone or email after judging in November 2026.
- Other than the photographs, your name and photo description, the information you submit to the MCCA will not be shared with third parties. MCCA may reach out to winners to obtain permission for interviews with media.
- By participating, entrant (and if a minor, his/her parent/ legal guardian, on behalf of themselves and minor) agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.
